Box Toe Material

The new and improved SporToe® material is a high-quality thermoplastic material that retains its shape, resists moisture, remains resilient, and feels great. It’s thin, flexible, and cost-effective. Plus, it’s made of more than 50% recycled content, so it’s as green as it is versatile. SporToe is ideal for virtually all box toe and reinforcement applications.

WORK PREPARATION

Cutting:                            

Cut in vertical or horizontal directions to maximize yields.


Heat Activation:         

Bond line temperature 80°-90°C. Recommended 80°C.


Cold Mold:                 

Recommended -5°C. Allow sufficient dwell time to secure minimum bond-line temperature of 30°C.



Orientation:               

Product can be oriented in either direction between upper and lining.

COMPOSITION

This proprietary blend of resins accommodates sport- and dress-shoe manufacturing processes. On one side, a polyester backer ensures comfort, and on the other, a hot-melt adhesive provides superior bonding to all upper and lining materials—even leathers with a high oil content. 

ZERO WASTE PROGRAM

This product is eligible for the Stanbee Zero Waste program. Provide a DXF file and we’ll cut the parts for you—then we’ll recycle the waste to make an even greener solution.
